【Abstract】 Group cooperative learning is the need of social development, it provides high quality learning opportunities for the student which enable the students with sincere, understanding, tolerance and open heart to get together, listen to each other, mutual cooperation,learn from each other and common development. Using group cooperative learning in primary English classroom, it can provide more time and opportunity to speak and use English for every student to arouse the student’s interest to learn English;it can promote the communication and interaction between students and students,teachers and students,and improve the students’ interpersonal skills;it can make students balance their own development in resource sharing and cultivate their team spirits;it also promote the students’ ability to learn English and teaching effectiveness and efficiency in English class,it even bring convenience for their future study, life and work.This article mainly explore the the problems and countermeasures of group cooperative learning in primary English from four aspects, it uses the literature method, classroom observation method and case analysis method.The first part is the introduction with search, reading and sorting out the relevant literature, and explore the background, meaning and purpose of this study.The second part is to analysis the connotations and describes current problems of group cooperation learning in primary English classroom.The main five problems which were found are as follows: Team goals are not clear,team members responsibility are not clear,teachers provide effective language materials are shortage, effective interaction and reflection is shortage,cooperative environment is weak.The third part is to analyzes the problems and reasons from the teachers, students, and the other parts.It has five reasons.The first is the English teacher’s theoretical quality on cooperative learning is limited. The second is the English teacher’s teaching skills on cooperative learning is not enough.The third is the student ’ s cooperative skills is lack.The forth is the evaluation system on cooperative learning is imperfect. The fifth is the cooperative environment is short.The fourth part is to solve the problems and present the strategies. Improve English teacher’s theoretical quality and teaching skills on cooperative learning, cultivate the student’s cooperative skills, establish a scientific evaluation system, create the cooperative environment.The main feature of this paper is author’s reverse reflection, in order to play the advantages and effects,I according to the characteristics of English subject,link closely the theory and practice, explore the problems and countermeasures of group cooperation learning in primary English classroom.
