WWT平台下基于核心概念的天文科学活动设计与实践研究

【摘要】 在科学课程学时容量有限而科学知识却呈爆炸式增长的背景下,“少而精”的教育理念被普遍接受,核心概念及核心概念学习进阶的研究也应运而生,日渐增多。围绕核心概念进行教学,有助于学生把握、建构学科的知识框架,更好的理解知识,也有助于学生知识的迁移运用及提高解决问题的能力。微软研究院设计开发的基于虚拟天文台理念和技术的虚拟望远镜——万维天文望远镜(WWT)由海量真实数据资源驱动,集交互性、合作性、探究性、情境性等优点于一身,现已成为天文教育中的一大利器。将天文学核心概念和WWT结合起来,运用于一直被中小学国家课程体系遗忘的天文学的教学中,能为天文学核心概念的教学提供借鉴,有助于WWT在天文教育中的推广。本文要解决的问题有两个:一是中小学天文学核心概念有哪些?二是WWT平台下基于核心概念的天文科学活动的设计流程是什么?为解决这两个问题,本文主要包括以下内容:第一,天文学核心概念的提炼。通过对我国科学、地理教材中天文学知识点和概念的分析与梳理,提炼出了核心概念。为验证其合理性,利用网络问卷调查平台对其进行调查,并分析调查结果,修改完善核心概念;第二,活动设计流程的建构。在分析一些基于核心概念的教学模式及教学设计流程的基础上,建构WWT平台下基于核心概念的天文科学活动设计流程,并制定活动评价的方案;第三,以该设计流程为指导,结合天文热点事件设计科学活动、学习单并制作WWT漫游作品,第四,实施科学活动并对其效果进行评价。经过研究,得出的结论如下:中小学天文学的内容可整合划分为日地月系统、太阳系、恒星、星系和宇宙4个主题,共8个核心概念,其中的7个核心概念得到了较好的认同。将WWT平台运用于科学活动中得到了大多数学生的认可,而且能激发学生学习的兴趣,活跃课堂气氛,值得推广及运用于教学中。

【Abstract】 On the background of limited capacity of science courses and the explosive growth of science knowledge, the concept of "Less is More" was generally accepted, the research of the core concepts and its learning progressions emerges as the time requires as well, increasing day by day. Teaching by revolving around the core concepts is more helpful for students to grasp and construct the knowledge framework with better understanding, and it will contribute to knowledge migration, the utilization and the ability of solving problem. The World Wide Telescope (WWT), a virtual telescope that designed and developed by Microsoft Research based on the concept and technology of virtual observatory, actuated by amount of real data resources, which is rolled up lots of good qualities as interaction, cooperative, inquiry and situationality into one, is already becoming a big sharp weapon of astronomy education. Combining this core concepts and WWT to apply to the astronomy education, which was forgotten by the course system of middle and primary school all the time, can provide reference for the teaching of core concepts and help the promotion of WWT to the astronomy education.There are two problems have to be solved in this thesis:The first one is what are the astronomical core concepts of middle and primary school? The second one is what is the design process of astronomical science activities based on the core concepts on WWT platform?To solve these two problems, this thesis contains the contents as the follows:Firstly, the extraction of astronomical core concepts, which is refined by analyzing and carding the astronomical knowledge point and concept of our sciences and geography teaching material. To verify its rationality, a survey has to be conducted by network questionnaire system and analyzed the results for improving the core concepts. Secondly, the design process construction of activity. On the basis of analyzing the teaching mode or teaching design process of core concepts, to construct the design process of astronomical science activities that made on account of core concepts on WWT platform and conducted the plan of activity evaluation. Thirdly, guided by this design process and combined with the astronomical hot events, to design science activity, worksheets and make the WWT roaming works. Fourthly, conducting science activity and estimating its effect.Reaching the following conclusions after doing research:The astronomy contents of middle and primary school can be divided into four integration subjects as the Sun-Earth-Moon system, solar system, fixed star, galaxies and the universe, which are eight core concepts in all, seven of them received better recognition. The application of WWT in the science activity gained acceptance of the majority of students, motivated students’ learning interest and active classroom atmosphere, which is worth popularizing and utilizing to teaching.
