【Abstract】 As an important life activity for children, the primary value of kindergarten music education is promoting the children’s development of life. The so-called "Life Growth" in essence refers to the active development of an individual’s personality that takes autonomy as the nucleus. The viewpoint is proved by the historical study of the vicissitudes of music education and the on-the-spot investigation of spontaneous music activities. It is also found that self-regulated learning is an effective way to realize the life growth value of kindergarten music education.However, questionnaire survey data gathered from kindergarten teachers in eight provinces and cities and on-the-spot investigation of in-class music education shows that children’s self-regulated learning is facing difficulties because of the instrumental orientation masking the value of the children’s life development, the tool rationality neglecting the ability of children’s self-regulated learning and the driven authorities limiting the teachers’ pursuit for independent development.On account of this, working with some excellent kindergarten teachers closely, the researcher carry out an action research by exploring the characteristics and mechanism of children’s self-regulated learning in music education. "Kindergarten Music Curriculum Based on Self-regulated Learning" is established through reforming the teaching activities in kindergarten music education and put into practice, which has enriched its theoretical and practical system. The study shows that firstly the children’s self-regulated learning in music education is featured by the self-determined options of the to-be-learned content, the self-planning of the learning tasks, the self-control of the learning process and the self-regulation of the learning results.In the support system of children’s self-regulated learning, the teachers who favor the autonomy and the educational activities which can meet the needs of music learning, as the driving force, promote the children’s autonomous learning. The music education values that are orientated to the growth of life, the music learning view of constructivism and autonomy-supportive kindergarten teaching and research culture influence upon their autonomous learning through enhancing the autonomy support for teachers and educational activities.To verify the above findings, considering the characteristics of the children’s self-regulated learning in kindergarten music education, aiming at promoting the concurrent growth of the teachers and the children, and taking the comprehensive artistic activity integrated with various learning experiences as the carrier and following the principles of openness, dialogue and independence, the teachers and the children work together to construct the "Kindergarten Music Curriculum Based on Self-regulated Learning." The experimental results have proved that this Curriculum well supports the children’s self-regulated learning and the concurrent growth of both the teachers and the children and verifies the feasibility of carrying out kindergarten music education based on self-regulated learning from the level of practice.Finally, the researcher sums up the above-mentioned the results of theoretical studies and practical exploration and establishes the "Kindergarten Music Education Model Based on Self-regulated Learning".
