【Abstract】 In recent years, with the continuous development and expansion of the city, it appears that the development of urban space and the elementary school as the representative of the urban basic education facilities is not coordinated. The traditional allocation of basic education facilities is based on the scale of residential area, under the current market economy system, the level structure in traditional residential area is gradually lost, which makes the basic education facilities have a lack of scientific basis. Thus the distribution of basic education facilities needs configuration theory and method of introduction which is more scientific, more advanced with the times.Combined with educational facilities and GIS spatial analysis and other basic theory, study on the layout optimization of elementary education facilities in urban built area, trying to clarify the current basic education facilities to configure primary standards and basis, reveals the dilemma of education development of the urban infrastructure and the reasons, the establishment of gravity polygon model layout evaluation method based on and in Baoji City launched a camp area elementary school as an example, validate the results of the study, horse camp area elementary school layout optimization suggestions, trying to clarify the current basic education facilities, the relevant standards and the basis of primary allocation, reveal the plight of the development of the current urban basic education facilities and its causes, a layout evaluation method based on gravity polygon model is established, and take Baoji city Horse Camp area primary school as an example, verify the results, put forward suggestions for the optimization of the layout of the primary school.First of all, by arranging the relevant research of the layout of the basic educational facilities in the current stage, identify the direction and focus of research to solve the problem, to lay the theoretical foundation for text writing. Secondly, to sum up from the plight of urban basic education facilities on the two layers of the planning and implementation, and the reasons are analyzed. Third, in combination with the application of new technology in urban planning, establish the evaluation method of urban basic education facilities based on gravity model and Voronoi polygon, form the method system of the research of this paper. Fourth, by the example of Baoji city Horse Camp area primary school, verify the above evaluation method, and realize its application in practice. Fifth, summarize the research results, and proposed the future prospects of the paper.
